A witch's garden is a magickal space, and gardening can be a therapeutic and sacred thing. Time spent in the garden, feeling connected to the earth, experiencing the nurturing and healing properties of the soil, the water, and the sun. Nurturing a tiny seed put to bed in the soil into fruition makes us feel as though anything is possible in our own lives, and we can grow something good and see it through. Much like our goals, dreams, and aspirations that we nurture into manifestation. It's a time for meditation, reflection, blocking out all the noise of our daily lives, the stresses, the responsibilities and the demands of the outside world for our attention. Nothing matters but the plants springing forth from the soil. It becomes a part of us, a thing we tend to, care for, and nurture.
And in time, the same plant and the vegetables or fruit it grows will care for and nurture us.
One who gardens has little worry about the source of their nourishment and its goodness, or worry about lack of food. A witch plans her abundance ahead of time and knows she can count on the earth to provide.
